When it comes to food, I’ve always loved cooking, eating, and sharing meals. As a classically
trained chef, the kitchen has been my playground, and food has always been about joy,
creativity, and connection. I don’t believed in restrictive dieting — eating, to me, is meant to be
a pleasure.
So when I first heard about raw food, I’ll admit — I was skeptical. Eating food without cooking
it? It sounded so extreme and limiting. But then came my first taste of a raw cheesecake. It was
creamy, indulgent, and every bit as delicious as any other dessert I’d ever had — maybe even
better. Yet every ingredient was unprocessed, wholesome, and raw. That sparked my curiosity,
and I quickly realized raw food isn’t about restriction at all. It’s about opening the door to an
entirely new world of flavor, energy, and vitality.
So what makes raw food special? It is fresh, vibrant, and alive with nutrients, enzymes and life
force and each bite feels like eating pure energy straight from nature.
I don’t consider raw food a fad. It’s a way of coming back to what is natural and aligned. It’s
about choosing foods that grow from the earth and fewer that are engineered by corporations.
And it doesn’t need to be all or nothing. Even just adding more raw fruits and vegetables — say,
50% of your meals — will lift your energy, improve digestion, and support long-term health.
Science agrees: a plant-rich diet can lower blood pressure, reduce the risk of heart disease and
stroke, and protect against certain cancers. I’ve witnessed countless people heal, thrive, and
rediscover vitality simply by bringing more raw plants into their daily lives.
And here’s the beauty: what’s good for us is also good for the planet. Choosing more plants and
less processed food not only nurtures our bodies, it helps us live more sustainably too.
For me, raw food has been an invitation—not to give up what I love, but to expand it. It’s been
about finding more joy, amazing health, and even aligning with my life’s purpose. I call that
“deliberate creation” You can learn more about that subject in The Raw Alchemist Level 1 and 2 or read here for more.
